Basic Concepts Computer

From what you have described it can be seen, that the computer can sense in terms of a variety of angles, such as: a review of the computer-generation to generation, from a computer review capacity, and besides that, the computer can also be viewed from the type of data that diolahnya.

However, in principle, a computer always has a basic concept as visible in the picture. Computers of any kind, always have a piece of equipment called a: Input devices, Central Processing Unit, and External Device Output memory.

a. Input Device

Input device can be defined as equipment that is used to enter data into a computer-in. Type of input device that is owned by the computer pretty much.

In everyday life, the human eye can also be interpreted as one input device which is used to enter data into the human brain. Reading could be interpreted as a data entry (into the human brain) through the eyes.

b. Central Processing Unit (CPU)

This section serves as a holder of control of the activities of the computer, and because of that, the CPU is also referred to as the brain of the computer. Apart from that, the CPU also serves as a place to perform various data processing. Data processing jobs such as: notes, seen, read, compare, calculate, remember, sort and compare.

In the work, the function of the CPU is divided into:

a.Internal Memory / Main Memory, kept a function for data and programs.
b.ALU (arithmetic logical unit), to carry out a wide perbagai calculations.
c.Control Unit, responsible for managing all computer operations

CPU is also referred to as the microprocessor. Where to working microprocessor Bit influenced by its processing capacity and also its frequency. Microprocessor capacity for existing bits 8 bits, 16 bits, 32 bits and 64 bits. Ability of bit CPU seen her, when a processor processing capacity of 8 bits, can be interpreted that the processing has 8 entrances to receive instruction bits. Thus, 16-bit processor, can process about 2 times faster than the 8 bits.

Another factor that affects the speed of the microprocessor is working frequency of computer work. There is a CPU which has a frequency of 4.77 MHz (mega hertz = million hertz), 8 Mhz, 16 Mhz, 40 Mhz, 50 Mhz, and so forth. The higher frequency has, the higher the processing speed.

Microprocesor 8 bits is 8088, is used for the PC-XT computer with a frequency of 4.77 MHz. Microprocessor 16 bits is 80286, set for PC-AT type with a frequency between 8 Mhz to 20 Mhz. Microprocessor 32 bits is 80386 and 80486, both types of microprocessor is installed on a PC-type ATgan frequency between 20 MHz and 40 MHz.
80 586 species now circulating microprocessor (Pentium) and 80686

Microprocessor pentium 586 known, has been released since March 1993. Many changes and improvements in the processor. Owned speed is 112 MIPS (Million Instruction PerSecond) or increased 5 times faster than 486 generations.

c. Output Device

Output device can be defined as equipment that serves to release the results of data processing or processing from the CPU into a medium that can be read by humans or can be used for data storage process results. Type of output device owned by the computer pretty much.

In everyday life, writing, can also be regarded as a way to pull out the ideas into a medium that can be read by humans. Media that can be used to write a paper or other forms.

d. External Memory

External memory can be defined as memory that are outside the CPU. Also referred to as the Secondary Storage or Storage or Memory Backup Backing that serves to store data and programs. Data and programs are stored in external memory, in order to serve the data and the program must first be moved into the internal memory. Quite a lot of types of external memory.

In everyday life, books, paper, image, or sound recording, can also be regarded as external memory of the man. It said external memory because it serves as a place to store data that is located outside of the human brain. In order for the data that is inside the external memory can function for humans, then these data, should also be moved into the first internal memory, for example by way of reading.
